Our association is passionately committed to ensuring a fair and inclusive access to the digital world and artificial intelligence (AI). In a time when digitalization and AI shape our lives, we believe it is essential that everyone – regardless of gender, age, origin, or social status – has the opportunity to participate in this development.
We recognize the challenges that many face and actively work to reduce barriers to engagement. At the same time, we are aware of the structural disadvantages, especially for women, exacerbated by the Gender Data Gap and the Gender AI Gap. These inequalities often manifest in discriminatory algorithms, which we aim to address together.
In the Global South, we observe the impacts of digital colonialism, which deepens existing inequalities. Our goal is to promote access to digital technologies and data for everyone, ensuring that no one is excluded from digital value creation. Additionally, we are addressing the ecological challenges associated with the resource consumption of AI and striving for sustainable solutions.
Through accessible workshops and training, we aim to make knowledge available and to harness the opportunities of digitization and AI for everyone. We believe in the potential of these technologies but are also aware of their limitations and challenges.
